The pre-order form for the BassBoost is now up on the products page: http://dtistore.com/products/ This first run of BassBoosts will be raw aluminum, they’re gonna come with two hand made strings by Ben from Snake Skin Strings (his website), they’ll have a silicon response system, and they’ll be rocking pre-cleaned stainless steel, c-sized bearings. And these things do ROCK, I’ve been playing with on of them for a few months now, I wish my KonKave bearings could spin this good! There are 20 BassBoost available for pre-order, I’m saving 5 of them for the kids in my yo-yo club, so if you want one get on it now!

This is pretty sweet! I just got these in the mail yesterday from Landon for the BassBoosts. They’re precleaned and lightly lubed and spin like 25 little beasts should spin (if beasts spin that is). Now all I’m waiting for is the yo-yos (machinist tells me they’ll be starting production on Thursday) and the strings from Snake Skin Strings.

Well today was pretty sweet, got to sleep in a bit, watched a little Eureka (that awesome sci-fi show) and picked up the BassBoost prototype from the machinist! Wanna see? I know you do! (Well, at least I KNOW, Alex, Ben, and Quinton do!)

That’s it for now, I’ll take some better pictures after I silicon it. At the moment it weights 65.6 grams, has a diameter of 1.96″ and a width of 1.644″. The gap is slightly smaller than the bearing is wide  or .148″. Can’t wait for the silicon to dry, I’m going to be making a clip video to tease you guys when it’s ready to throw

Met with the machinist in person for the first time today, sounds like he’ll be able to get me an official prototype by the end of the week! Just wanted to let you guys know the wheels are rolling on the BassBoost! Once I have the prototype I’ll start testing it and getting some prices on anodizing 50 of the yo-yo’s black and laser engraving the DTI logo, website, and “BassBoost” into the side of the yo-yo. I’ll keep you guys updated as I get more info!

I put together this video as my March 2010 video; I figured I would showcase a few tricks I’ve been messing with lately and the BassBoost model Landon Balk put together for me all in one go I’m going to be getting with my machinist this week and get the ball rolling on the Aluminum prototype. After I feel comfortable with it I’ll have him go ahead and make 100 of these bad boys

Well everyone, I’ve been playing around with the website design for Double-Take Industries for a few months now, trying to find something that looked professional but still looked cool and stylish. What you see here now is where I have gotten so far. Right now I’m looking to improve the website banner and background and fill in the pages. After that the website should be done and it’ll be a simple matter of maintaining it.
